For a marketing initiative, I had 4 weeks to develop an iPad app in both English and German demonstrating the difference between artificial and augmented intelligence.

For the first half of the app, the player places a curved grid of images at an anchor point on the ground using SLAM tracking. Grid tiles were programmed to fade in/out one at a time and shatter upon being hit to give the game a more satisfying and tactile feel.

For the second half of the app, we switched from SLAM-tracked AR to gyroscopic controls in a fully 3D-rendered environment. The cockpit and camera remain fixed while the clouds, water, and surrounding jets create the illusion of forward motion.
